The Order of Australia (AO) award was given to Ratan Tata’s work in enhancing bilateral relations between Australia and India. Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Tata has been honoured with the country’s most prestigious civilian award. It was announced that Tata was awarded the Order of Australia (AO) honour for his work in strengthening ties between Australia and India.

Foreign diplomats shared pictures of the event on Saturday and said Tata’s efforts have made an impact that will last to the country’s islands. He said that Ratan Tata is not only an iconic figure of industry, business and charitable donations in India, however, his achievements have had a huge impact in Australia. I am pleased to confer the Order of Australia (AO) honour on Ratan Tata for his decades-long association with Australian and Indian relations.
The 85-year-old veteran has played to win the Indo-Australian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is said to have the largest Australian team of all Indian companies with over 17,000 employees.

The honour comes a month after the business mogul was appointed honorary officer of the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO), recognising his efforts to promote India-Australia connections, particularly with regard to investment, trade and charitable giving.
In the month of October 2022, Ratan Tata was awarded the title of ‘Seva Ratna‘ by the RSS-affiliated Seva Bharati for his philanthropic efforts. Tata was also awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s highest civilian award, in 2009.
Recently, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates met Tata Sons Chairperson and Chairman Tata Sons Chairman and Tata Group Chairperson Natarajan Chandrasekaran. Tata and Gates discussed improving their cooperation and working to improve nutrition, diagnostics and health.
